India

Dear readers,

Let us return for a few seconds into the past. Let's remember the moment when we were little children and one day our parents allows us to go outside the house to play with other children without them their supervision. After giving us all the instructions needed they open the door for us to leave. The moment we have done the first step out of the house, alone, that was the moment when we become responsible for our own lives. A new life is opening in front of our eyes. A new step in life, or as I like to call it, evolution.
Tonight i will open a new door of my life. It will be the second time I leave everything behind, with no plan, nor solution but full of faith. Faith of becoming a better person so I would be able to bring happiness in the life of others.
They discovered that India is the first country from which humanity spread around the glob. From Africa humans migrated to India and remain there for a long period of time due to the prosper way of living. And from India they migrated in different directions to colonise the glob in order that you can read this article. If not we would either be extinct or hunting rabbits with stones. Also in India it was discovered the oldest city, Harappa dated from 15000 BC with a civilisation estimated at 200.000 people. This is incredible also because of the fact that the city had a water system. So many people at that time in one city is incredible, also the architecture of the city was more advanced then the Roman one. and this is totally impressive for that period of time.
After so many thousands of years, i return back home. In search of the Atman, in search of the Self, to find out who am I. To gain knowledge and to share it with those who need it.
When Lord Buddha was enlightened he was asked : What did you gain after your enlightenment? and he reply: "I gain nothing but i lost everything" The entire path of Self Realisation is to surrender. Give up all your concepts about owning anything and then when the mind is hollow and empty, you will realise that you are everything, you are pervading this entire creation. But to know this, we need to give up everything in front of the Divine. What a irony. But the moment we realise this, life becomes a game, we live into this world playing, we are rejoicing in joy. The nature of the Divine is Joy and Love.
I will continue to write to the blog anytime i have a internet connection. I will share pictures, and videos about this wonderful country I call Home.
May Love and Happiness prosper in your life, may the day of tomorrow bring you joy and liberation, may your mind become hollow and empty so you can receive love, may your life be blissful.

Devotion

After my personal opinion, devotion is the juice of life.
Imagine sugar without sweetness and this is the life of an ignorant person without feeling the smallest drop of devotion. In the same way as sugar cannot exit without  sweetness, life cannot blossom without devotion. A flower cannot be beautiful without having colour, and the same way the beauty of life cannot be expressed without devotion.
Devotion is that state of love, where nothing matters. That state of love in which you would do everything just to be close to God. That state of love in which tears are falling from your eyes but not from suffering as they mostly do, but from happiness and gratitude. That state of love for the Divine in which time and space does not exist. Is the only moment in our lives when we are alive and joyful. We only have 2 states of mind. Sleeping and daydreaming. But in devotion we are awake, in devotion we cry for gratitude because we have finally awake ourselves.
Devotion is that state of existence in which respect and love come together. That perfect balance of love and respect is called devotion. Respect and devotion are different, they try to expel each other, but in devotion they cannot exist separated. When we love to much, the respect is lost and we suffocate the other person and in time from love it will transform in hate. When we respect to much, there is no closeness, a feeling of coldness appear and from respect it will transform in hate or dejection. But in devotion they work together, they complete each other.
Love comes and disappear from our life. Love grows until it is lost. One day we may love something and the next day we could hate or reject it totally. But in devotion the love is never lost, it only grows day by day. Even if we don't feel it every day, is continuing to growing more and more day by day. Even our breath becomes devotion, even our actions becomes devotion, even our thoughts becomes devotion. Devotion is so intoxicating that is transforming our entire being. Devotion is food for the soul, we are feeding with devotion, we are healing with devotion and we are alive in devotion.
Devotion gives us strength and knowledge, power and wisdom. Devotion is cureing the disease of ignorance. Devotion happens when we become aware of our Self, when we realise we are part of this big creation of the Divine. How could so many still believe that there is nothing more then the realm of Samsara created by our minds when we receive so many evidences in every second? We can not even control the next second. We may die in the next second or live for 100 years more, we may be poor now but we may be rich tomorrow, we may be sick of an incurable disease today and be fully cured tomorrow. There are so many examples like this that had happen and will continue to happen. We can not control anything in this creation but we still think we do. The moment you surrender and dissolve into the Atman, that is the moment when devotion flowers and we become alive. Let us open our hearts and receive all what life is giving us because everything is a gift, everything is made to make us a better person. Everything is here at our need, let us be grateful for what we receive. Let us dissolve into the Divine Love. We have suffered so much, but now, we are in love.

Meditation

What is meditation? We have heard this word so many times but we still don't have the right knowledge about it. We just have some pieces of the puzzle.
Meditation is our true nature. We meditate daily even without being aware of it. Sleep is also a form of meditation, reading is also a form of meditation, singing and dancing are also a form of meditation. Meditation happens when the mind retreats and the Consciousness blossom. The mind acts like clouds in front of the Sun. The Sun is there, the clouds have no power against him, but they can make the light be darker and the temperature colder. The same happens with our mind, the more is impure and active, the more is obstructing our inner beauty. Purpose of meditation is to dissolve the mind into the Consciousness.
There are two main types of meditations.
First is the meditation in which the mind is focusing in an inner or outer object. This type of meditation is mostly used by buddhist people. The mind is addicted of attaching to objects and by knowing this some wise man in the past realised that by giving only an object of attachment instead of letting the mind attach to several objects it slowly relax and dissolve. I would prefer to give an example of dancing. When we dance we enter in a state of trance in which we are so fully in the present moment. Minutes pass so fast and we are in joy. The mind has dissolve intro the object of focusing and by this we slowly detach of the senses and allow our  Consciousness to blossom.
The second main type of meditation is the meditation without an object of focusing. This is mainly used by Yogis. As previews said, the purpose of focused meditation is to make the mind dissolve and relax. Yogis have developed an easier way of attaining this, just by letting all the efforts go, or dissolve. An example could be sleep. If we think about anything we can't fall asleep, but the moment we just surrender, dissolve and letting go of everything we wake up in the morning unaware the moment we fall asleep. The mind is so powerful and hard to overcome because we give it attention, we feed it. But the moment we close our eyes and say, "I had been working so much time, I've been struggling for so many years, now for the first time I am at peace, I rest" we finally, after so many years and lifetimes dissolve into the Atman (Self). We take out the clouds that are obstructing the Self, our true nature that is joy and love. Just let go, dissolve and then there will be no separation between anything in this creation, no concepts of time or space, because by abiding into the Self we become everything. We come in touch with the Divinity that is waiting inside us to blossom. The realm of Samsara is created by the mind, by ignorance. In the state of deep meditation there is no mind and there is no illusion, we just exist. That state of existence is called life. And life is Divinity.

3 Types of Discipline

To attain the blissful state of the Self, a seeker needs to have discipline, if not it will be very difficult to become aware of his true nature and do the practices on a daily basics. At the beginning it may appear to be difficult, but with determination it will become easier and more pleasant to follow the rules of discipline added to improve the quality of life. I would prefer to give an example as cleaning our teethes. We do it daily because we are aware of the importance of this practice, even if as children's we did not enjoy doing it. Now it had become a daily routine.
There are 3 important disciplines that a devotee or seeker needs to follow.

First is the discipline of the body.
To maintain the body healthy we need to take care of it. If we give it bad food we will create more suffering in our life then we already have. A seeker is more sensitive then a "normal" person and he is more aware of the mind then a ignorant person. By giving good alimentation to the body the mind becomes more calm and peaceful. If we eat chocolate the first minutes we wake up, our mind will become hyperactive the entire day, and for sure this is not a good intention for a person involved in meditation practice. Also we need to keep the body clean and in good shape. To obtain purity of the mind we should start by obtaining purity of the body, also to calm the mind we need to do some physical activity. If we are lazy our mind are hyperactive, and to overcome this hyperactivity we should start by overcoming our laziness and start doing some physical activity. This is another purpose of Asanas (yoga postures). Also in order to maintain the body in good conditions we need to respect the natural biorhythm of sleep. If the sleep is to much we become dull, if the sleep is to little we become to nervous. So a good quantity of sleep will solve this obstacles.

The second type of discipline is discipline of speech.
Words have such a immense power and we are not aware of it. Every word we are expelling  from our mouths have such an impact on others mind and life. All the conflicts in the world are starting because of words. All the relationship between lovers finish because of words. We are using so much this power without the purpose to create peace and love in others heart. Usually we speak so that people know we are present in the group. Speech use so much prana (life force) from our organism. If we have a full day of speaking we feel so tired and we can't understand why. Didan"t it happen to you?
Discipline of speech means not to use useless words in useless situations. Keep your words, don't waste them for nothing. An enlightened person is speaking only if the question is put at the right time, at the right place and in the right manner. As Guruji use to say, "Purpose of words is to create silence", how many times did your words created silence in the mind of others? Speak only if the words are creating silence and bring love and peace in the minds of others. This is discipline of speech.

The third type of discipline is the discipline of the mind.
I would say that discipline of the mind means dispassion. We get affected by others words, actions and decision. We get affected by situations and events. We get affected of all the objects of the senses. Our mind is anchoring  on all what we see, hear, smell, taste or feel. The more our mind gets dispassionate the more we attain to Yoga or Union.
Don't allow your mind to anchor to anything in the real of Samsara. Everything is an illusion created by the mind. If we know this truth how could we still get affected of all this factors? Just look at the years that pass in your life, doesn't everything looks like a movie? We are born and soon we will die, this will happen in no time. How much time we think we are here on this earth? 50, 60, 80, 100, 120 years? So what? They will pass in no time. Becoming aware of this truth, how could we still get affected of all the emotions that are arising and dissolving in our mind? Discipline of the mind means to stop our desires, our negative emotions, our attachment to words and events, actions and situations. They will all finish. Everything is rising and dissolving in no time. Make your mind hollow and empty. The mind of a Yogi is hollow and empty, he does not fight against emotions or situations but he accepts everything and with great dispassion he does not get affected. Emotions are rising and dissolving in such a hollow and empty mind. This is a path to mastery.

By following the disciplines day by day we get more in contact with our inner strength. The dust from our eyes is disappearing and we are able to see more and more the reality. The world is created by our own perception, so is a good decision to see it in a beautiful and bright way. As Lord Buddha said, "Be your own light" in the same way i would say, "become aware of your inner beauty, surrender and open your eyes"

What is Yoga?

Many have heard this word and very few have an idea, even less know the importance of this amazing word. In Occident Yoga is associated with sex, and of course is normal to associate it with this meaning because of the existence of so many falls Guru, or spiritual teachers who use this path of Self Realisation for their own grown in the material word. But Yoga is not that.
Yoga means Union. Union with Ourself, with the Divine. We attain yoga daily and we are not even aware of this. When your awareness is fully in one activity or thought that is also Yoga. In the Vedic astrology when planets get aligned it's called Yoga. I would prefer to give an example of the drop of water falling into the ocean, the drop had not disappeared, but that drop of water had reach Yoga, had become one with the totality. That is Yoga. Dissolving all our concepts in order to become the totality of our True Nature.
Yoga have many sadhana (or practices).
The first and the most knows is called Asanas, or postures. The body have a lot of imperfections because of our actions against him, like eating bad food, drinking bad liquids,  not respecting the naturals hours of sleep and many others. To correct this imperfections in our body a Yogi is doing the Asanas to stretch the muscles and allowing the impurities to be purified, to give a boost to the internal organs, to awake the Kundalini and the most important to calm down the mind.
The second Sadhana is pranayama or extension of the life force. The body is alive because of prana, or the vital life force. And by doing pranayamas (breathing techniques) we gain more prana and we purify our entire organism and the impurities stored in the mind. The mind is working directly with the breath. If you noticed, in the moments when you are happy you breath long and profound and when you are angry you breath short and fast. By controlling the breath you control the mind. By doing pranayama you enter in a state of subconscious where all the imprints of the mind gets relived and dissolved. This is a very beautiful and important process in the life of a Yogi. We accumulate impurities in the mind not only from this life but  from many many others we had before. Is such a blessing to have this sadhana !
The thirds and most important, after my opinion is the sadhana called meditation. That is so wonderful! So amazing we are humans and we can experience meditation. Actually humans are the only creatures on earth who can meditate. It is our true nature! By meditation a Yogi tries to control the thought waves of mind. But in a special way. Many practice meditation as an effort to stop the thought waves of mind. But not a Yogi! He is accepting all the thoughts, he is aware of them, he let the mind go free. The mind has this right! But he is a wiser, he does not get affected by them, Guruji used to say "What you resist , it persist" and this is so correct, especially with the mind. The more you try to control it, the more it will become your worst enemy. Dissolve into your being, accept everything, and that is the meditation of a  Yogi. Meditation does not stop when you exit the meditation posture. Meditation is in every second. While you eat, you are at peace, while you walk, you walk blissfully. That is such a blessing....but is sad how many are not even aware of this.
And a Yogi have a special tool, that is called Devotion. As many many masters have spoken before, devotion is the juice of spirituality. Many may do the practices and never feel the results, but a wise man will be devoted and for him there is nothing to desire, devotion is his food, devotion is his purpose.
Long long ago and far far a way a wise man once said "God if you want to give me something, give me devotion". If you explain to a blind man, how does a flower look, as much as you try he will never know it. As much as I try to explain devotion, many will not know it. I leave this juice to be tested by each one, at the right time, at the right place.
I belong to you
